INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT (IOP)
Intensive Outpatient care at Victory Bay focuses on relapse prevention. It requires a minimum of 10 hours of treatment per week and runs anywhere from 6-12 weeks, encompassing 3 groups and 1 individual session. Our clients usually attain this level of care once they’ve met the requirements to complete the IOP-5 Program, but they can also be placed at this level of care at intake if they meet requirements for IOP. Also, if they have done some type of partial care at another program, they can start at our IOP level of care.
When clients require a more structured program, our New Jersey rehabilitation center’s 5-day Intensive Outpatient program is the highest level of care we offer. It provides the support and monitoring for early stage recovery that is more comprehensive than Outpatient, but not as restrictive as a Residential treatment program. It also allows more life balance and flexibility than Partial Care. Our therapeutic care is provided during the day and/or evening, and clients can attend either from a sober living environment or living locally in their own home. The IOP-5 program averages 6-8 weeks in length, depending on a client’s progress and needs.
This program comes with a treatment requirement of 20 hours per week and includes group session Monday through Friday and a least 1 individual session during the week. Each group varies based on its topics, and we ensure that the topics cover a variety of areas including therapeutic treatment groups, 12-step model groups, life skills groups, psychoeducational groups, nutrition and healthy living groups, and more.
